Project Description

GD Construction were tasked with the full demolition and refurbishment of 2nr ultrasound rooms. In addition, we were tasked with the installation of a new AHU within an external courtyard. For the AHU, new drainage works were required, along with ground works and a steel frame for the AHU to sit. The AHU was a “plantroom type”. Services provided by GD Construction:

New 600x600 grid ceilings

Challenges Overcome

Enclosed courtyard – unable to walk/drive things into the area. All items having to go over the top where long/heavy.
The entirety of the department remained live with staff and patients.
Segregating ourselves from the LIVE dept.
Noise.
