Project Description

GD Construction were tasked with the refurbishment of a reception area and the addition of an accessible WC into that reception area.

Services provided by GD Construction:

• New vinyl floorings

• New decorations

• New IPS unit

• New trovex doors

• New reception desk and bespoke screen

• New M+E works

• Installation of a new bathroom

• New stud partitions

• New underground drainage

• Fire stopping

• FFE

Challenges Overcome

1. Working within a live mental health unit right next to the main entrance.

2. M+E isolations due to the above.

3. Noise due to the above.

4. Noise due to working next to the re-located reception.

5. Patient access due to the reception being taken out of action.

6. Completing a new WC meant connecting into new drainage which was within the main entrance.
