Carlton House

Project Description

Carlton House is an existing mixed sex Adult Inpatient Unit specialising in assessing and treating people with learning disabilities who have mental health issues or challenging behaviour. The building requires to be remodelled internally to provide more contemporary sleeping accommodation that is compliant with DoH and CCG guidelines. Two new high dependency suites are to be provided and five single bedrooms with en-suite wc/ shower facilities are to be created. One of the bedrooms and en-suite is to be able to accommodate wheelchair users.

Challenges Overcome

• Working within a mental health.

• Foxes had burrowed under out site container and had to engage with a specialist when we finished the works to remove the containers safely with-out endangering the foxes.
