GD Construction recognises its construction and refurbishment activities directly impact upon the environment and we are committed to improving our management performance by continually assessing the environmental implications of our activities.
The Company Policy is seen as the catalyst to drive our commitment to the Environment, which we will actively pursue through the co-operation of our employees, local communities, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.
GD Construction pay particular attention during its construction activities to environmental impacts such as water, waste, noise, vibration, dust emissions and odours, ground contamination, wildlife and nature features, and archaeological and historical features.
GD Construction actively promote energy efficiency and energy use reduction, developing caring management policies with clear objectives for improvement.
GD Company Policy:
The key requirements of the Company Policy are to:
1 - Identify and comply with legislation concerning the protection of the environment by adopting sound environment practices,
2 - Work with our clients and consultants to explore environmentally positive construction alternatives,
3 - At the earliest possible stage in the project cycle, we liaise with local communities to minimise nuisance and social impact,
3 - Develop and maintain systems, including Environmental Action Plans and audits to set objectives and targets for measurement,
4 - Promote the co-operation of all our employees through consultation and awareness/training programs.
5 - Monitor and continually seek improved performance.
